I’m posting this from my XO laptop, which was delivered this morning. It is tiny and cute, and the keyboard makes my eyes cross.
Things I have noticed so far:
- I have the same issue posting here as I do with my iPod Touch – Safari doesn’t recognize the “visual” post window so I have to write in “code” (which is fine, it’s just one more step)
- I had a bitch of a time getting it online and was finally only able to do so when I disabled our wireless security (onos I’m wide open and vulnerable to hax0rs, someone save meeeeee)
This thing is still pretty cool, though. I’d post a picture via the camera, but I’m nekkid – maybe later.
I still want an EEE PC, though. *drool*

I dunno, for an extra pound of weight you can get this beauty which has nine hours of battery life, a special screen that you can see VERY WELL in sunlight (it’s freaking amazing), optical drive AND a 64GB solid state hard drive. I have lust for it, and will done day make it mine.
(it’s tiny, too – 8.5 x 11″ wide, the size of a piece of paper, and less than 1″ thick)

So, Matt, I’ve been meaning to ask. Why fennel?
huh? Oh, yeah … a while back DeeAy mentioned something about fennel I think, so I put that as my website… Hmm.. something like that.
Boy, that’s vague.
The MacBook Air and the Toshiba Itty Bitty are both nice, but a) I have a MacBook and she’s awesome, and b) the EEE PC is $500 :) There is no way in several hells I’m looking to shell out $3K+ on a new machine; I just want smaller and portabler for writing on the fly!
Wow, $500? That’s only a bit more than I paid for my iPAQ. Wow. You mean I have to decide between that and the Canadian iPhone (if and when it ever gets here…) ?? Tough call.
The eee is super-keen. One of the better purchases I have made as Rea can do her picture stuff and I can surf the net! Now we have something to do to fill those awkward silent moments between conversations!
Plus now my hands have cramped permanently into the ‘eee keyboard configuration’ so I can type almost as fast as I can on a normal keyboard.
