Missing: One Shopper’s Drug Mart. Last seen in Victoria in the vicinity of the massive hole in the ground at Town and Country Shopping Centre.
We are in Victoria and using the free! wireless! internet! at the hotel. The room is a tad ghetto – it doesn’t even have a hair dryer, hence my late night ride into near-oblivion. I was ultimately successful though, and now I have not only a hair dryer but also Diet Coke and some Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pies.
What? I’m on vacation.
We’re having a great time, and I have many pictures to share. They are mostly of animals, but still. Stories will come later, and pictures will be uploaded when I’m not on a 7″ screen are up now, with more to come.

Last I looked it was still there.. It’s just on the left side of Walmart now, and smaller. It’s near the Little Caesars pizza place.

I eventually found it, but it was BEYOND unnerving to scoot up and think “hey, when did they put a Boston Pizza and Blockbuster here?” and realize I was actually seeing the Save-On complex because the buildings were GONE. It didn’t help that there was an enormous pit and everything was pitch black – I didn’t actually know the SDM had moved until I tried to go to Save On (closed) and saw signs that said “SDM is still open”. Jeez. Giant black holes are creepy in the dark.
Really, it’s much more attractive in broad, glaring daylight.
And I agree; there’s something almost unholy about approaching and seeing the new Blockbuster location, realizing that HEY! there’s supposed to be a BOWLING ALLEY blocking that view!
