grand theft canine: north vancouver

I have a very, very bad headache. I wrote a brief recap of our Saturday, but when I reread it I realized I was typing in tongues so I deleted it.

OH SHIT NO! Our new downstairs neighbours just brought home the puppy they mentioned they were getting, and OH OH OH I THINK IT’S A PUG!

Time to go steal a puppy!

Update: OH OH OH PUPPY! It’s actually a Puzu, which is a cross-breed of a pug and a shih-tzu. Naturally I’ve been doing research like mad, since my attempted theft of said puppy was unsuccessful – the puppies can lean either way, looking more like a shih-tzu or like a pug (such as Milo downstairs). So. Fucking. Adorable. He fell asleep on my boob and smelled like a puppy and looks like a pug and is so cute I could just cry. I’m now researching the hell out of the breed, since I didn’t know they existed and way back when, before I fell in love with pugs, I was actually considering a shih-tzu puppy. Also, our new neighbour got him from a breeder in Merritt, and it cost about a 3rd of what a pug would cost me here.

As you might be able to tell from my fast typing, I am doing some extremely fast talking to get Ed swayed to the Puzu side of the force.

SO CUTE.

*love*!

  1. not to rain on the parade but because i too, oddly, have been doing a lot of research into the pug and talked to a lot of pug owners and read lots of breeding info — my take-away info is because of the special-needs of the pug and their wacky genetics is to be really careful of cross-breeds for that way can lie serious inside crazies. I am sure they are cute and lovely, and at least the shi-tzu has the same funny nose, ! anyway, pugs are so cute and yanno, full of love! I am jealous anyway!

  2. heeey! im getting a puzu on july 7th and there is absolutly noo info about them on the internet what can u tell me besides there fucking adorible cuz thats ovbious just lookingat them. lmao
